On February 28, 2014, United Technologies Corporation issued a press release announcing that it will exercise its rights to redeem the $187.9 million aggregate principal amount of its outstanding Goodrich 6.29% Notes due 2016.
The press release issued February 28, 2014 is furnished herewith as Exhibit No. 99.1 to this Report, and shall not be deemed filed for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.

UNITED TECHNOLOGIES CALLS FOR REDEMPTION OF
OUTSTANDING GOODRICH 6.29 PERCENT NOTES DUE 2016
HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 28, 2014 - United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) today called for redemption of all outstanding Goodrich 6.29 Percent Notes due 2016 (the “2016” Notes). The outstanding aggregate principal amount of the 2016 Notes is approximately $187.9 million. The redemption date for the 2016 Notes will be April 1, 2014.
The redemption price for the 2016 Notes will be the greater of: (i) 100 percent of the principal amount of the Notes; and (ii) the sum of the present values of the remaining scheduled payments of principal and interest on the notes, discounted to the redemption date, as described in the notes, on a semi-annual basis, assuming a 360-day year consisting of twelve 30-day months, using a reference treasury rate plus 25 basis points. In either case, the redemption price will also include interest on the principal balance of the notes accrued to, but excluding, the redemption date.
